I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad USB 3.0 Pro Docking Station to use 2 external displays in addition to the laptop display.

Display support doesn’t work out of the box neither for Windows nor for Ubuntu.

For Windows10 I found the driver here.

I didn’t get it to work on Ubuntu Gnome 15.10, but it works on Ubuntu 16.04 (standard) and Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 after you download the DisplayLink runfile from here and write the following in a terminal window:

sudo apt-get install dkms
sudo chmod +x displaylink-driver-xxxxx.run
sudo ./displaylink-driver-xxxxx.run
