He is a Professor of Law and Legal History at Columbia University, and founder, Director-Counsel and Chairman of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.softwarefreedom.org\/\" target=\"_self\">Software Freedom Law Center<\/a>. Apparently he started as a software engineer, which explains why he is so comfortable going into technical details of software and hardware.<\/p>\n<p>He explains how Facebook is offering next to nothing in exchange of privacy and how he thinks everybody should have her own wall wart running a web server so that we keep our data to ourselves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I came across a fantastic and entertaining talk by Eben Moglen.
